Decorative example of the Colt M1911, milled from two sides and glued together. The Colt M1911 is a semi-automatic pistol designed by John Browning and manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company. The weapon was used in many wars including the First World War, the Second World War, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. We thought it would be fun to copy this one, not as a working copy, but for decoration, made from obomodulan and later sprayed silver. The handles are milled from wood (padouk).
We were able to make these using Steen Winther's Solidworks design, which can be found on grabcad.com
